I'm not a psychiatrist, or a counselor, or anything other than a concerned human in the USA. After reading several greif filled diarys in the last couple of days (loss of spouse, loss of jobs, loss of the quality of life we expected), I feel it important to diary about taking care of ourselves and others.
So, Granny Doc, while I agree that the purpose of Daily Kos is political, I don't think we can isolate that part of our human experience. We don't live in a vacuum, what happens in "the real world" is a mix of political, personal, and professional, and they all mingle to create our life.
